Peak District 2002

Well, they didn't leave before enjoying a quick pint, of course :)
The last day dawned misty, cold, crisp and clear - perfect hiking weather.
This was the last hurdle before a nice hot shower and the bunk beds after a
days hiking.. I'm sure those steps spent all day breeding, it took twice as
long in the evening as it did in the morning!
Told you it was a nice hostel! Bit of a tense drive up to get to it, with a
big gully just next to the road, but nothing to us veterans of Hardknott
Pass! Besides, I wasn't driving ;)
And here's the place itself, with the die-hards posing in front of it.
On the last day we went up.. Uhmm.. Something-or-other Edge - anybody remember
what it was called? Gill's bound to know - let me know! Here's the obligatory
cheesey posed shot.
Courtesy of Dave J, we have this shot of me standing contemplating the view.
It was a weird feeling standing right on the edge, actually - felt a bit like
flying.. Good job I don't mind heights!
And here's what I was looking at!
This reminded me of a scene from a text adventure for some reason.. No, I
don't know why, either. Yes, I am strange.
Is there any wildlife to preserve, aside from sheep?
