The Surrounding Fells

And there's never any shortage of good views, even down by the lakeside.

The Mob

Obviously walking around Keswick for a few hours was a little too tiring for some people... ;>

Me, Nim And Derwent Water

Quite a nice little picture, I thought (aside from having me in it, of course).

Windswept Rowers

Then someone had the bright idea of going for a row, mentioning no names Geoff. As you can see it was a little... ah... bracing. Getting stranded on a sumberged rock for 10 minutes was also terribly entertaining, but we made better progress after that - mainly because Nim stopped rowing so we weren't clashing oars all the time. Well OK, he wasn't that bad - we did vaguely get in sync after awhile. Sort of.

Abbie Watching James Bond

Abbie in her classic pose - unfortunately she's too quick to catch on camera clearly...

Just Comedy

What was Geoff up to??

Grisedale Forest

We visited Grisedale on day 5, as another gentle walk for everyone to recover fully from Helvellyn. It's a nice little place, if a little.. Well.. Green!

Fallen Trees

Recent felling has left some of the trees exposed... I'm sure there's potential for a giant game of straws here!

View From the Summit

We didn't climb all that far, but the view was still fairly good.

View From The Summit II

In this shot, you can see the road we came in on, coming over the brow of the hill in the middle left. That gives you some idea of how far (or not) we climbed.
