Geoff The Pirate

Geoff was proudly sporting a newly purhcased bandana - I think he fancied himself as a bit of a pirate. Perhaps he should have done something with his hair, however...

Dave Canoeing

OK, so Dave did get his canoe back eventually! Nice action shot, I thought - kudos to Jenny who captured it (and a lot of the other ones taken from the boat, since I was often otherwise occupied rowing!)

Abbie In Canoe

Looking a little apprehensive here - there was probably a non-trivial amount of concentration going into keeping the boat steady and not losing the paddle...

Gill In Canoe

Showing a bit of leg, there, too. I'll never forget the image of Gill rowing along with her legs hanging out of the sides... Well I suppose it's one way to get a tan!

Geoff And Nim Boating

We didn't seem to bump into Geoff and Nim much at first - perhaps us having more people and all the baggage might have had something to do with it!

Geoff And Nim Approach

... But we eventually managed to rendezvous in the middle of the lake. OK, you're coming in quite fast now - might be worth slowing down a bit, guys...

Prepare For Boarding!

... Er - guys? Why is Nim grinning like that?? GUYS??

Docked

Well, OK, they didn't ram us really.

The Three Amigos - And James

We finally found one of the islands that we could dock with. Everyone even trusted my knots to stop the boat from drifting off - the fools! Actually it was quite a nice triple-half-hitch reef-knot with some special Andy modifications (i.e. a granny-knot made into a mess). James needs a thought-bubble saying: "damned if I'm crossing my armns.."

The Guardians Of The Island

We decided not to dock here... Not because of the intimidating sentinels, but more because of the frequency of half-submerged rocks.
