Spurred by some Spring photos I’d seen on the web, I went for a walk among the fields to Coton, and took a few Springtime photos of my own.

I won’t even try to identify these small flowers, but they were rather pretty as they lined the cycle path out towards Coton. |
| |
The blossom was out in force along stretches of the route which, along with the sunny day, really bathed you in a sense of Spring. |
| |
I rudely disturbed this one having his lunch. If you look at the full-size shot, you can see the flecks of pollen covering him. |
| |
I’m fairly sure this is Deadnettle, and hence does not sting, but nevertheless I was fairly cautious getting this shot. |
| |
Along the later part of the Coton footpath is a small ditch, and this dilapidated gate adorns one of the crossing points. I would say it’s hardly necessary! |
| |
I like red flowers, too. We actually appear to have some of these growing in our front garden, though I’ve still no idea what they are. |
| |
As you can see, I was having a bit of a macro-zoom-fest along this walk. Clusters of these fetching little flowers were dotted around the churchyard. |
